Trident Servicii și Mentenăncia has installed and put into operation at Otopeni and Băneasa airports the most modern equipment for scanning passenger luggage, which allows them to travel including individual containers with liquids, aerosols and gels of up to 2 liters cumulatively per passenger in their cabin luggage, without the need to remove them from their bags to check their contents.
The state-of-the-art scanners, produced by our partner, Smiths Detection, operate with 3D reconstruction CT technology and advanced liquid explosives detection algorithms. The equipment provided by Trident Servicii și Mentenăță is currently the only one in the world that allows the application of this measure.
The scanners are also equipped with automatic tray return systems, therefore the security control is faster and the experience of the people is much improved, in the context in which the highest security standards are maintained.
At the same time, through the investments made in this state-of-the-art equipment, the National Airports Company of Bucharest, the beneficiary of the project carried out by Trident SM, aligns the two airports that serve the Romanian capital with the best international practices in the field.
