The HCVG range of X-ray scanning systems has been designed to optimise security checks at ports, airports and border crossings. These systems are used to inspect entire trucks (including cabins), containers and vehicles for threats such as explosives, narcotics, weapons of mass destruction (WMD), contraband and to perform manifest verification, reducing the need for manual inspection.
The systems use an accelerator operating at 2 energies of 4/6 MeV, allowing penetration of steel from 320 mm (12.6”) to 400 mm (15.7”). The following models are available: HCVG 6032 viZualTM, HCVG 6035 viZualTM and HCVG 6040 viZualTM.
The gantry-type X-ray system moves while the container or vehicle remains stationary. The scanning speed is 24m/minute, and the processing capacity is 23 trucks per hour.
