Trident Services and Maintenance implemented for CNAIR the video monitoring system for border crossing points located on national roads. The project, awarded following a public tender, had a value of 1.7 million euros.
The project aimed at installing fixed, automatic, control and weighing points in border crossing areas, in order to verify the existence and validity of the roadworthiness certificate, as well as to determine the weight of vehicles in motion.
The Trident SM team put into operation and integrated a system consisting of state-of-the-art video cameras that allow the beneficiary to locally identify the vehicle registration numbers. The images are saved, processed and transmitted to CNAIR’s computer systems.
The system developed and installed by Trident SM supports CNAIR by providing important data on traffic from border crossing points located on national roads, in order to increase the efficiency of monitoring, control, administration, operation and information activities carried out by the beneficiary of this project.
